60 seconds with... Looking4Parking
Welcome to 60 seconds with... where we interview a great business every month.

This month, we met with Looking4Parking’s commercial director, Martin Mansell to get the low-down on his best business advice and highlights in a minute or less!

PayPal (PP): Hi Martin, thanks for your time today. In your own words, can you tell us a bit about your business please?
Martin Mansell (MM): Looking4Parking is an international airport parking comparison brand. We offer services such as park & ride, meet & greet and onsite parking around the world including North and South America, Europe, Australasia and South Africa.

PP: How would you describe your customers?
MM: Our customers are often savvy travellers, who value good service and rely on us to find them quality deals quickly by showing them all of the best options in one place.

PP: What’s been your biggest highlight since starting your business?
MM: Achieving phenomenal growth in 2016 and expanding our parking offering rapidly across Europe, North America and Australia; as well as our airport transfers business seeing significant growth this year.

PP: What would you say is the one thing your business couldn’t function without?
MM: Because Looking4Parking is an online airport parking comparison service we certainly couldn’t function without high speed broadband. Our ecommerce website must be available 24 hours a day worldwide.

PP: How has the growth of mobile impacted your business?
MM: Consumers are increasingly searching for, comparing and purchasing their airport parking on mobile devices, as opposed to traditional desktop searches. We were one of the first in our industry to set up a mobile site and we’re currently working on an integrated, fully responsive solution to provide a quicker, simpler and more satisfying experience to users regardless of the device they are using.

PP: What is your favourite thing about using PayPal?
MM: The reporting tools within PayPal allow our back-office functions to run extremely efficiently.

PP: If you were to give one piece of advice to other businesses, what would it be?
MM: Make sure you recruit and retain amazing people who have passion and drive. The people are what make the business.

PP: Finally, if you were stranded on a desert island, what 3 things would you take with you?
MM: I would take a guitar, iPhone (providing the desert island had 4G) and sunglasses.

PP: Thanks for joining us for 60 seconds Martin!
