Welcome to 60 seconds with... where we interview a great business every month.
 
This month, we met with Tony Jackson, E-Commerce Manager & Developer for Pretavoir, to get his best business advice and highlights in a minute or less!
 
PayPal (PP): In your own words, can you tell us a bit about Pretavoir please?
Tony Jackson (TJ): We are the Home of Luxury Eyewear, serving customers all over the world.
 
PP: How would you describe your customers?
TJ: They're amazing. They love their eyewear and are fiercely loyal to our brand.
 
PP: What’s been your biggest highlight since Pretavoir started?
Pretavoir: Our growth. We started very small, but we now have a large team managing all aspects of a very busy business.
 
PP: What would you say is the one thing Pretavoir couldn’t function without?
TJ: Our customer service staff. They are the ones on the frontline making things happen and looking after our customers every step of the way.
 
PP: How has the growth of mobile impacted your business?
TJ: Customers expect everything to be available on their phones, from our site search to checkout. The movement of our customers to using mobile has been dramatic and we needed to adapt very quickly.
 
PP: What is your favourite thing about using PayPal?
TJ: Customers understand it and trust it.  Every day, we have many new customers who can feel wary buying from a new company. PayPal helps to reassure them that if things go wrong, PayPal will be there to protect them.
 
PP: If you were to give one piece of advice to other businesses, what would it be?
TJ: Look after your customers, every single time.
 
PP: Finally, if you were stranded on a desert island, what 3 things would you take with you?
TJ: Hayes manual for raft building, Earl Grey tea and a mug.
