Virgin Media Business has launched VOOM Pitch 2018  looking for the next unicorn. This year is promising to be the biggest and best year yet for the competition and we are excited to be a new partner.

 

So what is VOOM Pitch? It is a competition where UK and Ireland’s most exciting start-ups and small to medium sized businesses submit business pitches that are then voted for by the public.  The top 6 vote getters will make their final pitch to a panel of celebrity judges for their chance to win a share of £1,000,000 in prizes.  And one of the celebrity judges is Sir Richard Branson, so this is a fantastic opportunity to pitch your business or bright idea and generate great exposure through the VOOM network. 

 

PayPal is sponsoring the International Award. What does that mean? Perhaps you’re on the verge of making that next big step to broaden your business horizons overseas, or you’ve made a start but would benefit from that little extra boost. Either way, if your ambitions go beyond the Great British coastline, then this is the category for you.

 

PayPal will be offering the winner of our category free processing fees to the value of £100,000 and five selected business will also be offered exclusive 1:1 executive mentorship for a period of six months after the competition.

 

So how does it work? Once you’ve submitted your entry, we’ll reach out for more information on your business including current geographies, target territories and % of international business revenue already achieved. We will pick our winner and mentees from the top 80 semifinalists who will pitch on May 21st in Manchester. 

 

Then the lucky winner of the award will be announced at the VOOM Pitch Final on 23rd May, at Tobacco Docks, London.
