PayPal Giving Fund UK is committed to supporting charities of all sizes in raising essential funds.

Last year charities with an income below £1 million received 38% of the funds PPGF UK granted, while their share of the sector income stood at 12% only and we aim to increase the share of income of smaller charities even further.1

Digital technology has come to play a vital role in society, bringing new ways to work, connect and live our lives. The growth of eCommerce and online payments can help offer small charities an opportunity to raise funds. Features such as Give at Checkout with PayPal can help make the giving process easy and quick.

Give at Checkout with PayPal helps make it seamless for consumers to support a cause that they care about by being present in their regular, everyday transactions. PayPal users can choose to add £1 to their purchase when they checkout with PayPal. These microdonations add up and can make a big impact.

We are excited to announce the launch of the fourth year of our campaign, #OneTapBigImpact, which aims to help small charities navigate the current challenging economic times. Despite facing a surge in demand for their services, small charities have limited funds to meet this need.

To participate, charities must register through our website to participate in the campaign. Once the registration period ends, we will select three eligible charities* to be featured on Give at Checkout. This platform allows consumers to donate £1 every time they shop online with PayPal.

Here's how it works:

  • Charities must register using this form between 18th and 24th April to take part in the campaign.
  • After the registration period ends, PayPal Giving Fund will select three charities that meet the eligibility criteria.
  • The winning charities will be featured on Give at Checkout from 2st – 31st May 2024

To be eligible, charities must:

  • Be enrolled with PPGF UK.
  • Offer PayPal on their website, either as a payment option or via the donate button
  • Be considered a small UK charity with an annual turnover of under £1,000,000 in their financial year ending in 2022 or 2023.
  • Have a cause that falls under the following areas: environmental sustainability, economic empowerment, gender equality, and social justice.
