PayPal extends UK buyer protection to services and digital goods
You may have seen that UK buyer protection has been extended to now cover services, digital goods, travel tickets and other intangible items.

If you pay for one of these items using PayPal and the item or service either do not arrive, or do not match the seller’s description, PayPal will ensure that the money is credited back to your account. Having covered physical goods for many years, this additional buyer protection will provide you with even more confidence when you shop with PayPal.

What’s more, PayPal is also extending the time for buyers to open a dispute from 45 to 180 days.

Our UK Managing Director, Cameron McLean, commented, “People were telling us that they wanted more protection when buying things like travel tickets and digital downloads, so today’s changes will give them even greater reassurance when using PayPal. It underlines our reputation as the faster and safer way to pay.”
