Small Business Spotlight: Rose Hill Designs and Cotswold Cider
Last weekend saw the inaugural Makegood Festival, a pop-up market place that launched the creative brands of the future. The event was the brain child of the School for Creative Startups, one of our partners, and we popped down to take a look. We came away feeling very inspired and with some amazing new items too!
Our next set of blog posts in our Small Business Spotlight series will be focussing on some of the fantastic young entrepreneurs we met at the festival and how they have been taking mobile payments with their smartphones through the PayPal Here App and Chip and Pin card readers.
Rose Hill Designs
Hill Designs is a creative illustrations company that embraces British Pop Art, creating playful greeting cards, stationery, artworks and personal commissions. All of their products are designed and made using skilled craftspeople in England. It’s founder, Rose, said: “I loved trying the PayPal Here app and card reader at Makegood, it was great to have people pay straight away at the show – it’ll save me a lot of time and effort chasing payments and will make the process a lot smoother in future”.
The Cotswold Cider Company
The Cotswold Cider Company has a passion for their amazing bittersweet apple ciders, the orchard environment and the incredible taste of their apples. The Cotswold Cider Company are big fans of PayPal Here as it allows them to “take card payments remotely and easily, receiving money on the go wherever there is internet connection on our smartphones.”
