Ted Baker never misses a sale with PayPal Here
Partnering with small businesses may be in PayPal’s DNA, but our technology is equally at home in the stores of larger, more established retailers as well. For example, global eCommerce consultancy, Salmon built a solution in partnership with Ted Baker and PayPal, using the PayPal Here card reader, that enables customers to browse and buy without ever queuing up at the tills.

Coupled with a PayPal Here card reader, an app has been designed to be used on the store employee’s in-store tablets and immediately grants the customer access to the entire Ted Baker range. Any product that’s caught their eye but is currently unavailable in the store can then be ordered and paid for on the spot, and then delivered to their home, office or via click and collect at any Ted Baker store.

The app also lets store employees create new Ted Baker accounts for customers to improve future online and in-store experiences and, thanks to its user-friendly PayPal Here technology, allows card payments to be taken quickly and seamlessly anywhere within the store. This means instead of leaving empty-handed and disappointed, the customer is assured their purchase is on its way and, most importantly, Ted Baker doesn’t miss out on the sale.

This technology really comes into its own in Ted Baker’s smaller stores. No longer restricted by reduced stock, the full shopping experience is available to all customers via the app. Currently piloted in five stores across London – Westfield, St. Pancras, Regent Street, Covent Garden and Floral Street – it will soon start a wider roll out across the UK and the US.

At PayPal, we believe paying should always be painless. PayPal Here provides an innovative and easy-to-use solution that can help drive sales for all retailers and stores, regardless of size.
