60 seconds with.... Enter Eden
Welcome to 60 seconds with... where we interview a great business every month.

This month, we met with Lina Salih, Founder of Enter Eden, to get her best business advice and highlights in a minute or less!

PayPal (PP): In your own words, can you tell us a bit about your business please?
Lina Salih (LS): At Enter Eden, our mission is to help build a world free from unnecessary additives, nonsense nasties and things that harm our health, earth and fellow creatures. We are a vegan food company, and believe that plant-based foods are the future!

PP: What was your first product?
LS: Our first product is a 100% nasties free powdered vegan mylk made from organic soy beans. It dissolves instantly in water without clumping/sedimenting/splitting, is caffeine friendly, and even foams up so you can do latte art with it!

PP: How would you describe your customers?
LS: Our customers are conscious consumers who care about their health, animal welfare, and the environment.

PP: What’s been your biggest highlight since starting your business?
LS: Perhaps one of the biggest highlights was hearing Seth Tibbott (the founder of Tofurky) and Ed Winters (better known as Earthling Ed), both of whom I admire, say that we have a brilliant product!

PP: What would you say is the one thing your business couldn’t function without?
LS: Enter Eden would not exist if there was no demand for our products. In other words, we owe it to the like-minded, forward thinking individuals who make our vision possible!

PP: How has the growth of mobile impacted your business?
LS: The growth of mobile, and ubiquitous usage of social media applications such as Instagram and Facebook has meant that our products are now more accessible than ever. Never has it been easier to find your ‘tribe’ and gain traction, or indeed, discover that you need to pivot!

PP: What is your favourite thing about using PayPal?
LS: I love how quick, easy and safe it is to make payments via PayPal!

PP: If you were to give one piece of advice to other businesses, what would it be?
LS: It would definitely be to do something that you are passionate about, because the journey has its ups and downs, and remembering why you started it during tough times will carry you through.

PP: What is your vision for your business?
LS: As our name suggests, our dream for Enter Eden is to help create that primordial place of peace and plenty; where humankind, animal kind, and nature can all flourish together without compromise. We want to be a leading vegan lifestyle brand in 5 years.

PP: Finally, if you were stranded on a desert island, what 3 things would you take with you?
LS: This is a tough one! Practicality aside, I would take one of my favourite books, The Prophet by Kahlil Gibran, a painting set, and a pack of Enter Eden vegan mylk!

PP: Thanks Lina!
