60 seconds with... Prezzybox
Welcome to 60 seconds with... where we interview a great business every month.

This month, we met with Prezzybox’s founder and MD, Zak Edwards to get the low-down on his best business advice and highlights in a minute or less!

PP: Hi Prezzybox.com, thanks for joining us today. In your own words, can you tell us a bit about your business please?
Zak Edwards: Prezzybox.com are a fun, friendly and family run, online gift retailer. Our mission is to help everybody find fantastic gifts, which are fun to give and a delight receive.

PP: How would you describe your customers?
ZE: Awesome!

PP: What’s been your biggest highlight since starting your business?
ZE: Taking a brand that I started in my bedroom global, selling in over 100 countries (and counting!).

PP: What would you say is the one thing your business couldn’t function without?
ZE: Our team. We are a family and they are so passionate about everything we do! Without our team we’d be a very different company.

PP: How has the growth of mobile impacted your business?
ZE: We are very conscious that we spend a lot of our time working on desktops. Encouraging our team to browse and test the site on their mobile devices, the same way one of our users do, has been a great exercise. More traffic than ever is coming from mobile devices, on different operating systems, different browsers and through different screen sizes. It’s hard to keep up with everything. PayPal give us peace of mind from a development perspective that they are up to date with fast and ever-changing mobile technology which takes a bit of pressure of us.

PP: What is your favourite thing about using PayPal?
ZE: The simplicity, the reach and the acceptance in the online space. Who hasn’t heard of PayPal?

PP: If you were to give one piece of advice to other businesses, what would it be?
ZE: Keep at it. It’s very rare that a business ‘takes off’ and becomes successful in a short space of time. It’s all about pushing the flywheel. The longer you push, the easier it becomes!

PP: Finally, if you were stranded on a desert island, what 3 things would you take with you?
ZE: A guitar, my Kindle and dogs (lots of em!)

PP: Thanks for joining us for 60 seconds Zak!
